The misssion of Cesar Chavez Academy Denver is to prepare Denver's children for success as young scholars, citizens of the world, & community leaders by providing them with an ambitious academic program in a supportive & challenging learning environment. Our most recent collaberation was a variety of artwork provided by the 5th graders of Cesar Chavez that we proudly displayed throughout the salon.
Over a decade ago, Amanda began her professional career in the hair industry. Her love for creativity shines through her work, as she sees hair as a canvas full of potential and beauty. “My pride and joy comes from transforming someone's look through a completely different cut/color, so you leave with a BANG.” She loves developing relationships with her guests and seeing their personal transformation through graduations, marriages, and children. She is also certified in Brazilian Blowouts!
In her off time she pursues editorial work, pairing up with other designers to create glamorous shoots. All the while, continuing her education and keeping up to date with Lady Gaga. She also has a not-so-secret obsession with Celine Dion, which you'll have to ask to see her key chain when you get here...
Brandi has been transforming hair for 8 years now. It is her pride and joy to have the opportunity to meet new guests and make them feel beautiful! She enjoys doing color, especially ombre and balayage. Her color and cuts are always up to date with the latest trends! Make-up is her second love here, so make sure to ask her for a finishing touch! “You can use any type of makeup, but mascara is the one touch that ties it all together.” She has worked backstage at Mile High Music Festival and a multitude of fashion shows, including most recently the 303 Magazine Denver Fashion Weekend Hair Show .
Even though her talent and passion reside here with us, she secretly wishes she could live at a zoo and play with animals all day. Although she loves living in the sunshine state and enjoying the fresh mountain air, she wishes she could volunteer and travel more often to experience different cultures and help those in need.
Jessica brings over 15 years experience in the industry, as well as extensive advanced training in the World of Aveda. Education is very important to Jessica & she loves to share her knowledge with her fellow stylists & her guests. Her specialties lie in no fuss haircuts & fabulous color. She loves funky fashion colors just as much as providing subtle sun-kissed highlights. "Just finding the perfect color for my guests is very satisfying!"
Although Jessica is a Colorado native, she has spent much of her career in Portland, Oregon. When she is not helping her guests look & feel their best at Evolution, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, whipping up healthy creations in the kitchen & focusing on healthy living.
Apiphany Caro is a Colorado native & has been a lifetime user of Aveda products, working for the network for over 3 years. She is a recent graduate of the University of Colorado Denver with a Bachelors of Science, emphasis in marketing. Apiphany loves that learning never ends with Aveda & throughout the years she has continued to gain knowledge about Aveda through productivity courses as well as Aveda Business College courses. “I love sharing the Aveda culture with guests, from the products we make to the ways we give back. I also love providing the Aveda experience guests know and love.” Her top three favorite products are Enbrightenment Brightening Treatment Toner, Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight & Brilliant Spray On Shine. Apiphany's top beauty tips are: always wash your face before you go to bed & bold lip color.
In her spare time, Apiphany loves to fix up furniture. She frequents garage sales & searches for classic pieces & refurnishes them. She also enjoys cooking & spending time with her friends & big family.
Our newest addition Kallie loves transforming her guests, and making them smile! She does everything from stylish braids to beautiful color. Her love for updo's and makeup are what makes her the perfect wedding & prom go-to. Her top two beauty tips are to always use a heat-protectant, coupled with blow-drying your hair upside down for maximum volume!
Kallie moved to Colorado to enjoy the great outdoors and sunshine. She loves doing her hair and makeup in the morning, while finishing off her style with a cute dress! Her fun-loving, inspiring, and happy personality make her a perfect addition to our team.
Burgundy graduated from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2012. She immediately began working at Evolution Salon apprenticing Robert Cook and as the salon's make-up artist. Her passion resides in all things beauty: hair, skincare, makeup, fashion & an endless love for jewelry! She considers her specialty eyebrow waxing and shaping, as she feels a strong, defined eyebrow frames the face and emphasizes the eyes. Her top 3 beauty tips are: consistent exfoliation of the skin, mascara, & a good eyelash curler!
While she is a music festival loving Californias girl at heart, she enjoys all that Colorado has to offer! She loves hiking, fishing, four-wheeling & long drives to the mountains while listening to her favorite music, rap!
Although not a licensed cosmetologist, Victoria has been working in Aveda salons for ten years now. While in management for over half that time, Victoria seeks to educate guests on the mission of Aveda and their role in sustainably. “Aveda has not only changed my hair and skin, but has been a part of my own life and mission statement.” She earned a degree in Environmental Studies and Sociology, and has traveled to many countries aiding in water-well development, teaching English, working in African hospitals, and more!
Her passion lies with Aveda color and products, but she also pursues photography, equine development, many Colorado outdoor activities, as well as our micro-breweries. The #1 beauty tip she lives by is “Mascara. Mascara. Mascara!” And lastly, she has continued with Aveda salons for the enjoyment of seeing human canvases come in the door and leave as a masterpiece!
Destniee is a vibrant and passionate artist, new to Evolution Salon! She loves making her guests feel beautiful and smile, as well meeting new guests. Even though she is wonderful at the art of color, her favorite service is cutting/design work. She was valedictorian at the Aveda Institute Denver and accepted into the New York Fashion Week!
She may only be 5 feet tall, but has a huge heart for animals, nature, and people. Her favorite part of the day is waking up to a new day, full of new opportunities and adventure. Her laugh is contagious & it's a guarantee that she will make you smile! Her #1 beauty tip is that natural beauty is most beautiful, but loves to wear bronzer in the summer and blush in the winter.
Lilly is Evolution's newest stylist, & has been doing hair with Aveda for over two years now. She joined the hair industry because she loves to see her guests leave feeling beautiful! Her passion lies in men's, women's cuts, as well as blow-outs, ombre & balayage, & brow design.
Lilly loves to see live music & trying new cuisines. When she's not in the salon, she is typically spending time with family & friends. She is a cat person at heart but loves dogs too, so if you are a pet lover, Lilly is your girl! She always has a smile on her face & is one of the most easy going girls you'll ever meet!
Georgette received her education at the Aveda Institute St. Petersburg in Florida. To enhance her cutting skills she went to work for Toni & Guy where she became an Art Director. She ended up moving to Denver & really missed working with Aveda . She is passionate about Aveda's mission & its beliefs & wanted to pursue joining an Aveda salon.
She was born in Tampa, Florida. She grew up with a passion for hair. Since she was 10 years old she has been putting on fashion shows & practicing hair on her friends. She is always following the newest trends in fashion & hair. She enjoys thrifting, shopping, makeovers, makeup, cats & is a foodie.
Robert is known by his clientele as the Hair Whisperer. The philosophy he’s embraced, since becoming a stylist in 1989, is “Listen to the hair, and don’t fight it.” Robert has developed his natural skills with all aspects of hair—including cut, color, blow-drying and up-styling. He is also a firm believer in embracing change and often helps his clients discover a perfect new look.
Robert’s skills have garnered plenty of attention including styling work for a variety of fashion shows, most notably for Jean Paul Gaultier. They have also earned him numerous stylist honors including Top of The Rockies Reader’s Choice in 2005 and 2006, Editor’s Choice Top Hairdresser from 5280 Magazine in 2007, and Allure magazine’s Makeover Master in 2009.
Hairstyling has always come naturally to Leah, which is why she became a stylist in 2002. She is known for doing curly hair, but has also had numerous referrals for her up-dos. In her own words, “Being a ‘Jill of all trades’ ultimately lets me express my creativity.” Aside from the opportunity to be creative, one of Leah’s favorite things about doing hair is the ability to forge relationships with her clients and co-workers. Among her clients, Leah is a legend for how well her cuts grow out. She is a firm believer that hair should be easy for her clients to style and she gives them the tools and knowledge for them to maintain their looks. Her clients refer to her cuts as “low maintenance high style.”
Leah’s professional résumé includes work as a hairstylist for ABC News at the Democratic National Convention in 2008 and two separate features in the Rocky Mountain News Fashion Section.
