Jonelle Kwietnewski

Co-owner of the salon, Jonelle has been styling hair since 1995. She got her training locally, at Warren Tech in Lakewood, and has been working with clients ever since to create styles that fit their personality, whether that’s something low maintenance or high fashion. She feels having a hairstyle that complements the shape of your face and skin tone really makes a person feel good. Jonelle has tons of show experience, which includes fashion shows for Gaultier and Versace. Her favorite was working with Vivienne Westwood. “She is a really amazing person and has a strong, fantastic presence,” Jonelle recalls. If you have a chance, ask Jonelle about her recent gardening activities, which include trying to convince her husband that chickens would be fine, but NOT to get goats.
Sonia Warden

This self-professed “Rock ’n’ Roll Princess,” whose free time is spent either on the links or at concerts, draws inspiration from the music, fashion, art and photography worlds. Sonia has been doing hair since 1992, bringing her talents to Denver in 1995. For a decade, she also helped shape the industry as an Aveda educator. Sonia’s experiences have helped her realize her love for color. She believes people can be beautiful at any age and enjoys listening to her clients to help them discover a style that makes them look and feel their best.
Sonia’s passion for and expertise with highlights, multidimensional and tone-on-tone color techniques were perfected through advanced color classes at the Aveda Academy in London. Her talents have been sought out by such fashion industry greats as Richard Tyler, Vivienne Westwood and Gucci.Robert Cook

Robert is known by his clientele as the Hair Whisperer. The philosophy he’s embraced, since becoming a stylist in 1989, is “Listen to the hair, and don’t fight it.” Robert has developed his natural skills with all aspects of hair—including cut, color, blow-drying and up-styling. He is also a firm believer in embracing change and often helps his clients discover a perfect new look.
Robert’s skills have garnered plenty of attention including styling work for a variety of fashion shows, most notably for Jean Paul Gaultier. They have also earned him numerous stylist honors including Top of The Rockies Reader’s Choice in 2005 and 2006, Editor’s Choice Top Hairdresser from 5280 Magazine in 2007, and Allure magazine’s Makeover Master in 2009.Amber Northrop

Creating easy, effortless styles that are unique to each individual client has earned Amber an almost cult following both here in Denver as well as in Minneapolis where she previously worked in the city’s top Aveda salon after graduating from the Aveda Institute in 2006.
While she is skilled at most styles, Amber really enjoys the detailed work involved with creating shorter styles for both women and men. She learned her craft from such industry notables as Oscar Bond and David Stanko and stays current through regular, ongoing education. Being a professional stylist perfectly complements Amber’s creative nature, which she also explores as a collage artist.Leah Medina

Hairstyling has always come naturally to Leah, which is why she became a stylist in 2002. She is known for doing curly hair, but has also had numerous referrals for her up-dos. In her own words, “Being a ‘Jill of all trades’ ultimately lets me express my creativity.” Aside from the opportunity to be creative, one of Leah’s favorite things about doing hair is the ability to forge relationships with her clients and co-workers. Among her clients, Leah is a legend for how well her cuts grow out. She is a firm believer that hair should be easy for her clients to style and she gives them the tools and knowledge for them to maintain their looks. Her clients refer to her cuts as “low maintenance high style.”
Leah’s professional résumé includes work as a hairstylist for ABC News at the Democratic National Convention in 2008 and two separate features in the Rocky Mountain News Fashion Section.Brianne Wilson

An experienced stylist, Brianne came to Evolution in 2008, just after graduating from the Aveda Institute in Denver. She was drawn in by the harmonic energy that exists among the diverse group of people that make up the staff. For her it is the perfect relaxed, creative atmosphere for the classic styles, which is why her clients come to her. This includes cuts, styles, natural color, up-dos and braiding. Brianne especially enjoys spending time with her clients to help them find a style that truly expresses their personality.
Hallie Adrian

Having come to the salon in 2009 fresh from the Aveda Institute in Denver, Hallie is an Evolution stylist born and bred. When it comes to hair, her philosophy is all about keeping it healthy but having fun with it, which is the same approach she takes to life as a CrossFit coach/competitor, and a member of USA Freedom, the National Australian Rules Football Team.
A skilled stylist, Hallie is especially adept with technical-based braiding, permanent straightening and smoothing, dimensional color and effortless looking curls. She believes experimenting with your look can be one of the most eye-opening things a person can do, and she loves being part of that process for her clients. Her skills were on display at Matthew Morris’s Third Annual Fashion Show, as well as the 2009 and 2010 Aveda Institute of Denver Earth Month Hair Shows.Ramón Corro

“No ego, no fear and no nonsense” is Ramón’s approach to hair. He also understands that hair will tell you what it wants, so don’t make it too difficult. This is an approach he first learned at the Aveda Institute in Denver and brought to Evolution in 2011. As Ramón puts it, “Tell me what you like and what you don’t, then tell me what you want with your hair. As long as this maintains your hair’s integrity, it’s on!” Ramón also really enjoys the challenges of a good color correction. For him, it’s like a good puzzle.
